The sun was shining and the temperature mild for Epworth’s home game versus Coalville. Great conditions and a freshly mown pitch!
Khiah went close to scoring in the opening minute and Jasmine put a shot just over a few minutes later.
However it took just 5 minutes for Zarah to put Bears 1-0 up. Gracie popped up with a 2nd goal 2 minutes later and from then on Epworth were comfortable and continued to press Coalville.
Priya tapped in a 3rd and Lacey scored a well taken goal looping it over the keeper’s head.
Khiah then scored from a lovely cross and Priya took the 6th, a stunning goal, from outside of the area.
Lacey scored her 2nd of the game making it 7 before half time. Laila, got in on the action scoring a quick goal after half time to make 8. Priya then side footed number 9 in from close range.
Lacey went in to secure her hat trick and Khiah made it 11, with a low hard strike.
Lacey still had time to score her 4th goal and made it 12-0 to the home side.
A dominant performance by Bears. Very difficult to choose just one player as they all played their part.
Next week will be a real challenge with Bears away at top side Bosworth.
Khiah was chosen as POTM for another strong performance, great passing and 2 well taken goals.
