This week the U8 Tigresses travelled to Syston against the Riverside U8 Kingfishers, historically one of our more tricky fixtures in the calendar. Riverside started the stronger of the two teams but a fierce midfield battle between Epworth’s Lottie and Harper against the Riverside midfield made great viewing. At the half way point it was an even game with some great defensive work from the Epworth girls. Both teams made changes in the final 2 quarters but another valuable 40 minutes in the bag for the U8’s and an all round fantastic team performance. Onto the next one , we welcome Riverside at home this weekend in the reverse fixture.
