Epworth forest U11 lionesses started the season with a sensational performance against a good Ambleside team.
From the 1st minute the girls were on top and didn’t allow the opposition any time on the ball with some great pressing. The girls continued with the same tempo, some great passing throughout the rest of the half.
The second half they started a bit slower with the opposition seeing more of the ball in the Epworth half. Despite this, the defence stayed strong and didn’t give any clear chances away. As the half wore on the lionesses got on top.
This week’s parents player and player of the week both went to Daisy for her tireless work in the middle of the park winning endless tackle. Well done Daisy and the whole team on a great start to the season and a great performance.
