County cup 1st round Sunday 13th October
First home game of the season for the Bears saw county cup 1st round action against HTFC Lionesses.
illness and a last minute injury in warm up to Khiah saw the Bears reduced to 10 players for this tie.
Bears started well gaining plenty of possession and moving the ball round.
Zarah opened the scoring with an effort from distance, deceiving the keeper with ball going wide dropping into bottom corner.
Evenly matched game opened up abit more with Livs quick brace, both result of strong direct running into the area seeing the Bears take a 3-0 lead into the break.
With no extra legs to freshen the Bears up, next goal in the second half was going to be vital, HTFC started well but were kept at bay with a fantastic double save from Kearna, who had a great game all round dealing with everything she had to today.
Some good battling and football by both sides continued to the end but Priya was able to score 2 goals to round off the win for the Bears.
Parents player of the match went to Jasmine for leading from the back and solid all round performance, which went for all the girls today.
