Well done to the U10 Lionesses today! Despite challenging weather conditions, the girls demonstrated remarkable perseverance against a well-organised Ashfordby team. There were many positives to take from the game, and I couldn’t be prouder of each player’s effort.
We defended exceptionally well in the first half, keeping Ashfordby at bay and showcasing great teamwork. Both teams created significant opportunities, with Ashfordby having the upper hand in the first half and us taking charge in the second. The Ashfordby keeper made some fantastic saves in the second half, maintaining the scoreline.
A special congratulations to Isla, who was awarded Coach’s Player of the Match for igniting the spark in the second half with her infectious energy. She was at the heart of many attacking plays and delivered several great passes through to the forwards. Additionally, Daisy earned Parents’ Player of the Match for her relentless effort up and down the pitch, whether it was tackling in our half or pushing forward in the opponent’s end.
Keep up the hard work, Lionesses! Your dedication is truly inspiring! 🦁⚽️
