Match Report: Epworth Forest Bears U13

Coalville Town Ravens U13 v Epworth Forest Bears U13

Sunday 6th October 2024

The Bears ran out 10-0 winners away at Coalville, looking the part in their new kit.

The home side won the toss and chose to switch ends, so Bears were shooting down the hill in the first half. It didn’t take Jasmeen long to capitalise and put the Bears one up inside five minutes following a scramble in Coalville’s six yard box.

Just five minutes later Jasmeen struck again to double the lead, a lovely effort from further out this time. On the fifteen minute mark she completed her hat trick, this time blasting the ball into the roof of the net to make it 3-0.

Zarah got in on the action just one minute later with a lovely goal from range, following up a few minutes later with another well taken goal curled in from the right hand side, a well-deserved reward after some great work in midfield.

After a few chances and near misses earlier on Liv showed perseverance and got in on the action with a powerful net bulger from just inside the box giving Bears a comfortable 6-0 lead at half time. However, they still had to come out and shoot up the hill second half!

Coalville could not take advantage of the downhill and while they never gave up Kearna had a quiet game in goal, with only a couple of saves to make, but she did so with ease. Laila hit home not long after the break to make it 7-0 and again a few minutes later with a real poacher’s goal, sealing 8.

Meanwhile though Priya didn’t want her twin to take all of the glory, scoring goals 9 and 10 late in the second half!

A convincing performance and comfortable win for The Bears.
