Massive well done to our U9 Lionesses, who won the county cup this morning.
They started fantastic, with Millie and Daisy working brilliantly together. 1-2 with Millie putting Daisy through who smashed it in to take the lead.
The girls started the 2nd quarter a bit nervy but held their lead.
3rd quarter, a lapse in concentration led to Rothwell getting a goal.
Then in the 4th we put them under pressure with Madison, Emily and Millie working together and Maddison slotting it home, Maddison and Emily put Rothwell under pressure again and with a scramble Madison put the 3rd in, towards the end Rothwell got us on the break to grab a late consolation goal, with Epworth seeing the game out to take home the cup.
